Executive Summary

Legacy Airlift Solutions offers specialized C-130 training programs designed to improve safety, decision-making, and mission readiness. Training is built on real-world experience from formal training environments and is delivered directly to partner nations through Mobile Training Teams.

By bringing training to the customer, LAS reduces the need for crews to travel overseas while ensuring instruction is aligned with the customer’s aircraft configuration, mission profile, and operational environment.

The goal is to reduce preventable incidents by improving how crews think, decide, and perform under pressure.

The Operational Challenge

Legacy C-130 fleets often operate in demanding environments where safety, readiness, and mission execution depend on disciplined crew performance. Preventable incidents can create serious risks for personnel, aircraft, and mission success.

In many cases, training is not fully aligned with the customer’s aircraft configuration, local procedures, or mission requirements. Customers may also have limited access to tailored, in-country training, which can make it difficult to train crews without disrupting operations.

Our Solution

Legacy Airlift Solutions addresses these challenges by providing tailored C-130 training directly at the customer’s desired location. Courses are delivered through Mobile Training Teams that travel to the customer and instruct personnel on site.

This delivery model allows LAS to provide training that is practical, mission-focused, and aligned with real operational needs. Instead of relying on generic classroom instruction, LAS builds training around the customer’s aircraft, crew positions, mission profile, and operating environment.

Core Capabilities

Full-Crew Integration

Training can be delivered to pilots, flight engineers, loadmasters, or mixed aircrew groups. This supports real-world crew coordination by allowing personnel to train together instead of learning only within separate crew positions.

Delivered In-Country

Courses are delivered through Mobile Training Teams that travel to the customer’s desired location and provide instruction directly to their personnel. This reduces the need to send crews overseas and helps customers maintain operational continuity.

FTU and Operational Experience

LAS instructors bring formal training unit experience and real-world operational knowledge into the classroom. This allows instruction to be based on practical C-130 experience rather than classroom theory alone.

Tailored Setup

Training is aligned with the customer’s aircraft configuration, mission requirements, technical manuals, supplements, and local procedures. This ensures that instruction is directly relevant to the aircraft and operating environment the customer uses.

Language Support

Instruction is delivered in English or Spanish, with the capability to provide training in any language when interpreter support is arranged at the host nation’s request. This allows LAS to support international customers while keeping instruction clear and accessible.

Flexible Training Packages

Training may be delivered as a standalone course, an add-on, a combined training package, or a customized program. This allows customers to select the level of training that best fits their aircraft, personnel, schedule, mission requirements, and regional needs.

Operational Impact

LAS training is designed to improve aircrew decision-making, increase systems understanding, reduce risk during emergencies, strengthen crew coordination, and improve overall mission readiness.

By aligning instruction with the customer’s aircraft and operating environment, LAS supports safer and more disciplined mission execution.
